Question The motherboard is H8DG6-F and the OS is Windows server 2012. I enabled IOMMU in BIOS, but IOMMU cannot be started in OS and an event ID 136 was generated under Windows event log. The message is as follow: The hypervisor disabled I/O remapping because of a problem with the system BIOS. IOV will not be available. Answer It’s a limitation for Windows server 2012. Windows server 2012 is not able to support IOMMU or SR-IOV with legacy BIOS AMD/Intel motherboards. Was this FAQ helpful?
