Systems Engineer (Job Code: SC13084)

    Summary:

    An entry level system engineer who performs system level performance and validation testing and debugging

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose the root cause of system failures and isolate the components/failure nodes
  • Respond on an as-needed basis to emergencies and provide remedy for catastrophic failure events
  • Develop and publish test reports and communicate findings to team members
  • Basic scripting skills for automating validation tests

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • Proficiency in Linux; ability to install, administer and troubleshoot.  Red Hat or other Linux certification is a plus
  • Proficiency in Windows OS; ability to install, administer and troubleshoot.  Windows certification is a plus
  • Excellent teamwork and communication (verbal and writing) skills
  • General familiarity with storage hardware, RAID, NAS, etc.
  • Familiar with latest server architecture and components
