    Seeking a System Engineer who can build, troubleshoot, test, validate and benchmark system solutions based on Super Micro’s latest and greatest technologies.   Provide expertise to apply broad knowledge of systems engineering processes to assists customers in transforming concepts and ideas into fully integrated technology solutions especially in computer storage.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform system level computer storage solution builds, and execute system load and performance tests. Analyze results and make tuning and architecture recommendations.
  • Provide expertise and transform concepts and ideas into customer hardware storage solution specifications
  • Setup and configure proposed storage solutions and execute test plans
  • Write step by step instructions and/or functional specs related to customer issues
  • Document and publish installation, configuration, operational and troubleshooting procedures for use by support personnel.
  • Perform other customer support related responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time
  • Must be able to work on a variety of systems covering a complex assortment of software and hardware configurations


  • Advanced knowledge of standard server/workstation hardware, storage arrays, storage networking, networking protocols, and general connectivity in multi-platform enterprise environments
  • Extensive knowledge of RAID hardware/software
  • Comprehensive Windows/Linux Operating System knowledge, especially as it relates to storage systems
  • Working knowledge of storage hardware concepts (e.g. Enclosures, Drives, RAID etc.)
  • Experience with LSI Storage products and software including MegaRAID Storage Manager, MegaCLI, and LSIutil.
  • Comprehensive understanding of storage software concepts (e.g. File Systems, Volume Mgrs, Virtualization etc.)
  • Datacenter and server virtualization (VMware ESX, XEN, Hyper-V, etc.) technologies and solutions
  • Enterprise application exposure or knowledge of (MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, Exchange, etc)
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret various logs generated on a Windows/Linux storage system
  • Demonstrated abilities to debug and lead issue investigations to closure

    Minimum Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science

  • Able to sit for long periods of time
  • Able to input data into a computer and work with a computer screen for long periods of time
  • Occasional bending and standing
  • Standing, walking, sitting, talking/listening, crouching or crawling, reaching with hands and arms
  • Lift, carry, push and pull in excess of 15 pounds
