Sr. Rack Production Engineer (Job Code: SC13237)

    Supermicro is looking for a talented Software Engineer specializing in L2 and L3. You will be working with some of the most talented engineers to change the network world together. Extraordinary candidates of any experience level will be considered.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

  • Work on Open Server platform
  • Gathering requirements from customers directly,
  • architecting and designing new features
  • Writing automated tests to ensure quality


  • BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 2-3+ years of Java / C / C++ development in Linux or Windows
  • Understanding networking protocols
  • Solid understanding in software systems
  • Both innovation and execution driven
  • Self-motivated
  • Understanding micro-processor architecture
  • knowledge of VMware/Hadoop desired


  • Masters degree or higher, or equivalent commercial experience, from top schools
  • Experience in managing individuals or being a team lead
  • Understanding the impact of Software-Defined Network architcture
  • Knowledge in server virtualization or networking virtualization
  • Knowledge in customer pain points in networking L2 to L3

  • Able to sit for long periods of time.
  • Able to input data into a computer and work with a computer screen for long periods of time. 
  • Occasional bending and standing.

  • Lift, carry, push and pull up to 15 pounds.
