The Sr. Solution Architect leads a virtual team of PMs, design engineers, system engineers and FAEs to develop best in class solutions for a global enterprise customer base. The solutions include full rack level integrated systems of large scale HPC cluster, Scale-out Storage Cluster, Public Cloud Infrastructure, data center virtualization and Enterprise IT deployments. The role provides enterprise architecture support to opportunities of large global enterprises with high complexity
The Sr. Solution Architect is responsible for providing key knowledge and technical knowhow in developing new enterprise IT solutions that help SMC improve sales revenue and profit margin in high end enterprise market. The role is accountable for advancing and maintaining SMC’s leadership in enterprise IT solution market.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Pre-sales Activities
Plays a leadership role in pre-sales activities that serve enterprise customers, provides guidance, insight for application analysis, architectural design, proof of concept testing, solution validation and optimization. Accompanies sales to meet enterprise customers face to face and provides leadership in pre-sales technical support and solution consulting. Helps develop new customers as well as maintaining existing customers with whom he has built relationship from previous work, and conference meetings. Works with other product groups and plays a leadership role in configuring SMC server/storage/networking products and provides the best solution to meet customer RFQ. Accountable for the end to end solution integrity and for managing the solution through the pre-sales, bid, internal development to ensure successful delivery and profitability.
2. End to End Solution Development
Plays a leadership role in research and development of end to end enterprise IT solutions that help SMC expand to high-end markets and grow market share. Combines SMC hardware with latest software technologies to create end to end solutions that help improve SMC profit margins. Plays a key role in Enterprise IT solution development by working with SMC server, storage, networking, software and other engineering groups. Leads technical discussions, hands on installation, testing and benchmarking. Plays a leadership role in maintaining, updating, and refreshing SMC Enterprise IT solutions. Takes ownership in creating and updating technical documents.
3. Technical Marketing
Plays a leadership role in Enterprise IT solution related marketing research and provides strategies, insights and planning to top management regarding solution development. Helps to draft white paper, solution datasheet, web content and training presentations. Provides training to FAE and Sales teams on SMC Enterprise IT solutions. Participates in trade shows, technologies conferences and helps promote SMC Enterprise IT solutions.
