Supermicro Signs Distribution Agreement With Ingram Micro

SAN JOSE, Calif. June 2001 - Supermicro Computer Inc., a leading Silicon Valley server and motherboard manufacturer, announced the signing of a distribution agreement with Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM), the largest global wholesale provider of technology products and supply chain management services. According to the terms of this agreement, the Supermicro product line will initially be distributed through Ingram Micro U.S.

Supermicro's product line includes optimized rackmount and pedestal server solutions, quality chassis, as well as a comprehensive line of motherboards for desktops and high-end workstations. Since its inception in 1993, Supermicro has been noted for producing leading edge products that incorporate advanced design, high quality and unparalleled reliability. The company's distribution relationship with Ingram Micro will further enhance Supermicro's global presence in the technology marketplace.

Coming on the eve of the release of a new line of state-of-the-art 2U rackmount servers, Robbie Abreu, Supermicro Sr. Director of Strategic Sales said, "This is a great opportunity for both companies to grow our businesses and provide quality products to the market."

The new 2U servers will provide new computing solutions supporting the new Intelâ Xeonâ processors that have just been released.
