In recognition of their outstanding support and service in the distribution channel, Supermicro Computer presented Tech Data their Fiscal Year End Award as the "Distributor of the Americas FY 2001".

This award was presented by Robbie Abreu, Sr. Director of Sales at Supermicro. Receiving the award were Karen Justice and Steve Wisniewski, two of Tech Data's top employees. The award signifies acknowledgment of Tech Data's aggressive growth in the entire Supermicro product line, which is comprised of Rackmount and Pedestal Server Systems, motherboards and chassis.

The award presentation event was held at the home of Mr. Abreu, and in attendance were guests from world leading chipmaker Intel, memory maker Corsair Micro and of course many representatives from Supermicro.
