Supermicro Debuts New Pentium® 4 Motherboards
San Jose, CA (September 10, 2001) - Supermicro Computer, the premier hardware solutions manufacturer in the Silicon Valley, today announced release of the P4SBA and P4SBM motherboards, which are designed to support the new 478-pin Intelâ Pentium®4 processor and the Intel® 845 chipset.
Running at frequencies up to 2GHz+ and having a system bus speed of 400MHz, this tandem of motherboards represents the most powerful desktop solution available today. The P4SBA is an ATX form factor mainboard, offering 6 PCI slots for additional expansion. The P4SBM with a micro ATX form factor features on-board devices, providing a cost-effective integrated solution.
Identical in specifications, except for the expansion slots, the P4SBA & P4SBM both offer 1 4X AGP Pro1.5V, 1CNR , Dual Ultra DMA Bus Master with 100MB/s, 4 USB ports, 1 infrared port, 2 fast UART 16550 serial ports, 1 ECP/EPP parallel port, and PS/2 mouse and keyboard connectors. Memory capacity is 3GB of PC133/100 highly available mainstream unbuffered SDRAM, implemented in 3 168-pin DIMMs.
