Firmware Release Notification: Version 1.0.9

v  Noticeable Improvements from version 1.0.7-7 to 1.0.9:

      1) Fixed MAC Address table display for beyond 1K MAC addresses.

 

      2) Fixed several stacking related issues.

 

      3) Improvement in switch boot-up time performance.

 

      4) Fixed ACL feature configuration error, ACL Redirect functionality.

 

      5) Adding “AOM-SSE-X2S” module support for SSE-G24-TG4 and SSE-G48-TG4.

 

v  Level of Importance:  Recommended. If you think any of the above-mentioned function/feature improvements are relevant to your operation, this firmware upgrade is recommended.

v  àImportant Information:  If your system is currently running a version lower than 1.0.7-7, it is critical that you reset the switch to factory defaults before upgrading the firmware to 1.0.7-7 or 1.0.9. The switch will then need to be reconfigured upon upgrade. The startup configuration files (iss.conf) are not compatible between pre-1.0.7-7  and post-1.0.7-7 firmware releases.

 

v  Upgrade Instructions:

-          Download  the file “switch_firmware_1.0.9.zip” (https://www.supermicro.com/wdl/Firmware/Switch/SBM-GEM-X2C_SSE-G24-TG4_SSE-G48-TG4/Release-1.0.9/);

-          Unzip and extract “switch_firmware_1.0.9.bin” to the folder your tftp server points to.

-          Follow instructions in the user manual (http://www.supermicro.com/manuals/other/SM-CLI-Guide.pdf Section 3.31 on page 70.) for firmware upgrade procedures.
