These chassis solutions package between 8 and 24 hot-swappable 2.5" SAS/SATA hard disk drives in either 1U or 2U form factor chassis sizes. Each chassis also features a new advanced design high-efficiency (>85%+) power supply. The result is significant power savings from both the disk drives and the power supplies over older technologies. You do not have to be an advocate for combating global warming or environmental pollution to care about how much energy the systems in your data center consume. The simple profit-and-loss economics of running your business will tell you that when your servers use less energy, they will cost less to operate and will increase your company's profits.


  • Saves Space
    Because the 2.5-inch disk drive is smaller in every dimension than the prior generation 3.5-inch drive, the resulting volume is over 72% smaller- about a quarter the size of the larger drives.


  • Reduces Power Consumption
    At idle, the 2.5-inch form factor drive takes 65% less power than its larger 3.5-inch cousin and produces less heat. Over a very large number of drives housed in a modern data center the power savings becomes substantial.


  • Improved Performance
    Performance increases dramatically due to the smaller platter and consequently shorter seek times. The small size of the drives enables 2.5-inch drives to deliver 130 to 150 percent greater system performance in the same footprint.
