Supermicro's extensive range of rackmount storage server solutions provides exceptionally high storage density, while leveraging up to Gold/Platinum/Titanium Level (93% ~ 96%+) high-efficiency power supplies, high-capacity hot-swappable 2.5" and 3.5" SAS3/SAS2/SATA3 HDDs, and 100% cooling redundancy to maximize performance-per-watt savings and reduce total cost of ownership (TCO). SC946ED* (Top-load Storage)
  - 90 Top-load Hot-swap 3.5"/2.5" HDDs in 4U

The new 4U JBOD extreme capacity storage chassis (SC946ED-R2KJBOD) supports up to 90x 3.5"/2.5" 8TB HDDs for 720TB of SAS3, 12Gb/s performance in an easily serviceable tool-less top-load hot-swap architecture. Chassis features double-slide rails with rear cable management arm for easy access to entire storage bay. HDD trays incorporate HDD LED indicator and tool-less lock/release clip. Dual hot-swap expander modules featuring 4x Mini-SAS HD ports maximize throughput and failover redundancy for media streaming, nearline and archive storage applications. System is easily managed via 2x IPMI port with SNMP for Remote System Power on/off and system monitoring. Supports up to 4 hosts HDD Zoning, independent power cycling of individual HDDs. Green Computing features include advanced cooling via 5x 80mm high speed, low vibration, hot-swappable fans and redundant hot-swap 1000W (2+2) Titanium Level high-efficiency (96%) digital power supplies. SC847D* (Double-Sided Storage®)
  - 90 Hot-swap 3.5" HDDs in 4U

Optimized for enterprise-level high-capacity storage applications, Supermicro's SC847D Chassis features 90x 3.5" SAS3/SAS2/SATA3 HDDs in 45x (24 front + 21 rear) Hot-swap Drive Bays as server chassis in a 4U space. Or 90x 3.5" SAS3/SAS2/SATA3 HDDs in 45x (24 front + 21 rear) Hot-swap Drive Bays as JBOD chassis in a 4U space. The SC847D design offers extra high-density of HDD per space ratio in a 4U form factor, high power efficiency, optimized HDD signal trace routing and improved HDD tray design to dampen HDD vibrations and maximize performance. Equipped with redundant high-efficiency 1280W (2+1) (Platinum Level, 95% efficiency) or 2000W (1+1) power supplies with PMBus functionality and I2C for enhanced power management, and 7 hot-plug redundant cooling fans, the SC847D is a reliable and hassle-free maintenance storage system.

SC417BE1C/E2C* (Double-Sided Storage®

The SC417B chassis features extremely high storage density with 72x (48 front + 24 rear) hot-swap 2.5" SAS3/SAS2/SATA3 hard drive bays as server chassis or maximum of 88x (48 front + 40 rear) hot-swap 2.5" SAS2/SATA3 hard drive bays as JBOD chassis in a 4U space. The chassis also feature with redundant high-efficiency 1280W (1+1) (Platinum Level, 95% efficiency) and 7x 8cm hot-swap cooling fans. The chassis design optimizes every aspect of interior space without compromising superior cooling. It is also equipped with redundant high efficiency 800W or Gold Level 1200W power supplies with PMbus functionality and I2C for enhanced power management. The 1200W chassis models come with palletized packaging designed to protect system during the shipping with fully loaded HDDs.

SC216A/E1/E2/E16/E26*

Supermicro's SC216 maximizes storage capacity in a 2U form factor by offering 24 hot-swap 2.5" SAS/SATA hard drive bays for applications requiring extra storage. The chassis design optimizes every aspect of interior space without compromising superior cooling capabilities. The SC216 is equipped with redundant 900W or Gold Level 1200W high-efficiency power supplies for outstanding power savings, with specially designed optimized cooling, and 7 low-profile or UIO solution expansion slots for superior networking options. 1200W power supplies has PMBus functionality and I2C for enhanced power management. Quick-release, tool-less slide rails are available for quick installation.

SC213A
  - 16 Hot-swap HDDs in 2U

Supermicro's SC213 chassis provides 16 hot-swap 2.5" SAS/SATA hard drive bays, one 5.25" hard drive, one optional slim DVD drive in an efficient 2U form factor designed for the most commonly encountered applications. The chassis is also equipped with redundant 900W high-efficiency and Gold Level 720W power supplies (with PMBus functionality and I2C for enhanced power management) for outstanding power savings, and specially designed optimized cooling.
