Question
How do you restore the BMC on the X8 series motherboard back to the default setting in Linux?
Answer
1. Enable impi service and make sure all related packages are installed
2. ipmitool -I open raw 0x3c 0x40, or use our utility ipmicfg to restore BMC to default setting
(ipmicfg -fd or ipmicfg -raw 0x3c 0x40)

Ipmicfg can be downloaded from https://www.supermicro.com/wdl/utility/IPMICFG/.
