Question Why does my work station 7046A-T have RED LED on first and second drive only. I am using all 8 SATA drives and only 1st and 2nd drive slots have this issue. Does that mean the backplane of those two slots are bad or there are some kinds of connection going on here? Answer Please disconnect the SGPIO cable from the backplane to turn off RED LED. This cable is to support SAS drive only. Since you are using SATA drive, it’s not necessary to have this cable connected. Was this FAQ helpful?
