I found there’s virtual LAN device in both windows and Linux and cannot be removed on both H12/X12 motherboard with RoT function support. I cannot use it under OS. What’s that for? |

This extra virtual LAN (RNDIS ethernet over USB) come from BMC and is the interface used for BMC communicate with OS for specific feature.
While in-band operations are in progress, please DO NOT make following changes, this will cause current operation failure. a. DO NOT change OS IP address b. DO NOT enable/disable Host Interface
If you disable this Ethernet over USB, you cannot perform server firmware update through in-band by using Linux or Windows utilities. |
