SYS-1028R-WTNRT uses motherboard X10DRW-NT (N=NVME onboard) which is tested compatible with Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS and Ubuntu 14.10. X10DRW-iT (does NOT have NVME onboard) motherboard tested compatible with Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.
