What Interface/Protocol is supported by the M.2-SSD?

Answer
The M.2-SSD device can support either SATA or PCIe-NVMe, but not both at the same time.
Note: The socket on the motherboard will be designated to support either an SATA M.2-SSD or a PCIE-NVMe M.2-SSD and in some cases be able to support both, as defined by the motherboard manufacturer.
