Answer
Time to Ready (TTR) on HK6 is taking at least 15 second to get drive media access ready, drive cannot process any CMDs prior to the window.

The concept of Time to Ready in SSD is the wait time for the drive to be able process IO. In the other words, it is time to get media access, the time for drive to response commands.  The TTR time starts from power on and ends at media access on SSD.

Usually two majority activates during TTR are “Restoring FTL intermediate table” and “Garbage collection of open block” The reason of larger capacity with longer TTR is very simple and straightforward.  Larger capacity SSD needs more time to process the larger FTL size and open block accounts.

The worst case of TTR happens at the drive is not under graceful shutdown.
