Question
I have a P6SBA motherboard and a Adaptec 29160 controller with 2 hard drives on it, the Adaptec can detect those drives, but I am unable to format the drives.

Your hard drive partitions may be corrupted for some reason. Try accessing the Adaptec BIOS by hitting Ctrl-A and perform a low level format on those drives. This should take care of the problem.
