I would like to install Fedora Core 5 on a SuperMicro A+ motherboard that uses the MCP 55 chipset, but I get a Kernel panic problem during the installation. Do you have any idea about this issue?

It is because the FC 5 doesn’t support HPET. Please make you change the HPET option to disabled in the BIOS before installing this operating system.
