Accessing the System

The SYS-212B-LN2T server features a removable top cover, which allows easy access to the inside of the server.

Removing the Top Cover

Important: Except for short periods of time, do not operate the server without the cover in place. The chassis cover must be in place to allow for proper airflow and to prevent overheating.

  1. Power down the system as described in Removing Power.

  2. Carefully remove the system from the rack or wall, placing the system on a workbench.

  3. Remove the four screws holding the cover in place.

  4. Slide the cover in the direction of the power supply and motherboard I/O panel.

  5. Lift the top cover up.
