Supermicro has always been an interesting IT supplier for the datacenter, and it is getting more interesting by the year as it continues to grow very fast and has set itself a goal of break $10 billion in annual sales, which would put Supermicro behind only Dell and Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

Over 50 server models have been unveiled by Supermicro, made up of more than 15 families for Tier 1 server and storage requirements. The X13 server portfolio is based on fourth generation Intel Xeon scalable processors.

This week as part of the 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable (codenamed “Sapphire Rapids”) launch, Supermicro unveiled its X13 generation.

Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Nvidia and other manufacturers have built the chip into products that will be coming out soon, with many hailing the fourth-generation processor as a step forward for computing power and sustainability goals.
