I am looking to purchase this X10DAI and have some pre-purchase questions. My goal is to assemble a multi-CPU video editing workstation Win 7, 8 or 10 64 bit OS. Video editing transcoding uses as many cores (threads) as possible so the higher the thread count the better.

I intend to use 2 Intel Xeon E5-2620 V3 or V4 or E5-2650 V3 or V4. I saw there was a CPU thread 22 Core Cache limit for this motherboard. Does this limit CPU threads to 22 for the motherboard?

Any CPU belong to E5-2600 V3 and E5-2600 V4 will work on this motherboard as long the CPU TDP not exceed 160W.

For example E5-2699 V4 which has 22 cores, total number of cores are 44 cores (88 threads) if both sockets are populated.

OS can limit the number of cores, for example, Windows 7 32 bits only support up to 32 cores and Windows 7 64 bits support up to 256 cores.
