Question
I have 7047GR-TRF with X9DRG-QF motherboard. I have configured my AMD FirePro S7150 as a pass through device to my Guest VMs.

However, I am unable to start them and gives an error message: "Failed to start the virtual machine."

I found out that if I disable "above 4g decoding, then I am able to launch the Guest VM successfully.

The AMD FirePro S7150 requires "Above 4G decoding" or else the system get out of PCI resource message.

Please contact Supermicro Technical Support at Support@supermicro.com for OEM BIOS that sets “MMIO Base Address” to “38 BITS”. VMWare can only utilize 38-bit address scheme for PCI resource.
