Is it possible to use M2 NVMe SSDs with a PCIe Adapter in a X9DR3-F Mainboard?

SMC offers adapter AOC-SLG3-2M2 that uses M.2 NVME SSDs and we have validated with the following motherboards only:

X10DRT-H

X10DSC+

X10SRM-F

X10SRM-TF

X10SRA
