I have a P4SSE-G2, and after installing Red Hat 7.3, it fails to bring up Eth 0, and I get an error message when installing the driver from your CD. What causes this?

A: This can happen if you connect this onboard G-bit LAN to a 10/100 hub, please use this work-around to solve this:

1. Edit modules.conf in /etc, place put # for the eth0 tg3, than copy the driver (bcm5700-2.2.20.tar.gz) from your driver CD to the /tmp directory. Tar the file and follow the readme instructions on how to install the driver.

2. Edit modules.conf again and remove the # and change eth0 gt3 to eth0 bcm5700.o

3. Type "service network restart", and the connection will be made.
