Question
I'm planning on purchasing a case or two, looking at model SC825TQ-563LPB. I wanted to know if there were any drive size limitations on the backplane? I've seen posts on the web about a 2TB drive size limit, but possibly for older backplanes. Is this true on this system? I'm planning on using WD Gold,  8TB or 10TB drives and need to make sure they will work ok.

Answer
SC825TQ-563LPB uses BPN-SAS-825TQ (a SAS2 6Gb/s backplane) which technically should likely able to detect the 8TB/10TB drive sizes, but we never tested the WD GOLD 8TB/10TB drives on BPN-SAS-825TQ backplane.
