Question
I have one of your 440BX chipset motherboard with onboard SCSI which I have Win2k Server loaded. I needed more drive storage so I bought an IDE 120GB hard driver which is not correctly being detected by the motherboard BIOS. Does the current BIOS support large IDE hard drives such as this?

Answer
The current BIOS for all 440BX chipset motherboards support INT13 (large drive support), but since you are using Win2k and the IDE drive is used for storage, you really do not need to flash the BIOS. WinNT/2k/XP has an ATAPI service that is used to communicate with IDE devices and does not use the motherboard BIOS at all. Please go into drive administrator partition and format the drive then update to the most current BIOS version from our website.
