We are getting error "[BAT-0001] Battery failed - Assertion" regarding our server SYS-120U-TNR. Do we need to reconfigure the BIOS setting after batter replacement?

Yes, basically the CMOS may clear during the battery replacement. You may need to double check the setting after new battery installed.
