I don't understand the difference between the 10 uplink ports and the 14 downlink ports on the SBM-GEM-001. The 10 ports are accessible from the switch how are the 14 downlink ports accessible?
The 10 uplink ports are “switched” ports. They can connect any port on the switch to any other port on the switch. The 14 downlink ports are a fixed connections one-to-one to each Blade in the enclosure. In a 10-Blade system, the last four downlink ports are not used.
