I have put the SATA drives in the drawers and slid them in the slots in the front of the server. They are connected to the Adaptec AIC-9410 onboard controller. I have tried with as little as two drives configured as RAID-1 and it still fails 30 minutes into the SBS 2008 setup. The setup doesn't fail, but one or more of the drives gets degraded. It's random which drives fail. I have also tried disabling the RAID functionality.This helps, but when I try to make a software raid inside Win2008sbs it fails in the same way. All the drives light up red, the computer freezes for a couple of seconds, this happens every 20-30 seconds. The following error is reported in the event log “Adp94xx Event ID 129, Reset to device \Device\RaidPort0.” What could be the issue?
