Question
We have had several IPMI issues on various mainboards (also with integrated IPMI). Problems vary from incorrect sensor information to KVM issues. Is there an easy way of solving these issues quickly other then contacting technical support for each individual case?

In most cases these issues are resolved using the following procedure:

- Update mainboard BIOS
- Update IPMI firmware
- After BIOS and IPMI update disconnect all power from the system for at least 10 seconds
- This will re-initialize the IPMI card with new BIOS and Firmware resolving most issues.
