Question
I'm trying to understand fan control on X9S board series.
What is the difference between fan curves, fan mode and fan profile?

Answer
A fan profile consists of a set of fan curves based on temperature
for CPU/Memory/PCH/Peripheral (RT2). A fan mode such as Standard and
Optimal defines a specific pulse width modulation (PWM) of fan speed
and temperature operation for CPU/Memory and PCH/RT2.
