We installed a Toshiba OCZ RD400 SSD into the SYS-5019S-M2 PCI-e 16 slot with an adapter. It doesn’t show up in the bios screen. We down loaded the latest bios but no change. We need this for the OS so that the 4 drive bays can be used for storage. What are we missing??
The OCZ RD400 is an NVMe SSD which requires UEFI mode Bios. If you have not already done so, please set the PCI-E slot Option ROM to which this device is attached to “EFI”.
Please note that this device will not show up in the Bios. If you are installing the OS into it, you will need to change the boot mode into UEFI and then install the OS in UEFI mode. Once you reboot and go into the Bios set up, you will see an Option for Windows boot manager (Or equivalent for Linux OS).
