Question
I have a custom build computer and usually cools my AMD Opteron cores with two Dynatron 2 ball heatsink CPU fans. They work perfectly, especially under heavy CPU rendering sessions, but are very noisy. I want to replace them with the two Noctua heatsinks I bought. Unfortunately, I've been unable to use the Noctua heatsinks. This is because after I swap the Dynatron sinks with the Noctuas, my computer makes loud alarm noises randomly.

Answer
The H8DG6-F MB is a dual CPU server motherboard.

We, at SMC, don’t guarantee full compatibility of parts other than the ones we have validated.

If you want a Heatsink/Fan that is fully compatible with the MB, please use SNK-P0048AP4.

AMD Socket G34 mounting bracket BKT-0048L-G34 is sold separately.
