Yes, to be able to boot from the VD with 4K drives, you will need to change BIOS settings from 'legacy' to 'UEFI'.

BIOS >> boot >> from dual to UEFI, the 'UEFI' setting will be allowed to boot from the VD, whether it is created with 4K sector drives or 512 sector drives.
