Question
I have Supermicro SC835TQ - R800B case with SAS 833TQ Backplane and AOC - SASLP - MV8 add-on card ASROCK Motherboard Running Windows 10. If I were to swap the SAS cables I have for say CBL-0237L with sideband, would this allow me more control over HDD's via bios or maybe software?

If you use the mentioned cable, you can connect Sideband PBF to the backplane Sideband port to monitor HDD activities via HDD LEDs, but it will not transfer actual hard drive data via the cable.
