If I install an Adaptec 2010S, do both SCSI channels on the X5DA8 become "separate" and independent RAID channels, such as one configured RAID 0 and the other configured RAID 1?

Answer
Once the 2010S is plugged in, both channels onboard become independent channels. You can use the Storage Manager utility to create separate RAID arrays on each channel.
