I am trying to use SuperoDoctorIII WOL function to wake up a server based on X5DPA-GG, but WOL seems not to work. How?
Here is the procedure:
.In X5DPA-GG, the feature "Wake On LAN From S5" in BIOS Setup must be enabled.
.To have SuperoDoctorIII WOL work, there must be at least 2 systems running SDIII. For example, you can install SDIII to 2 servers, and use the client to wake up any of them. Or, you can install SDIII to the server and the client, then use the client to wake up the server.
.In Windows, make sure wake on setting of the onboard LAN in Device Manager is enabled.
.Take condition2 (1 server + 1 client) as example, first, install SDIII to both systems.
.In the client, open IE and log in to the client. SDIII in the client is now running.
.Go to Systems Management. You can create a new group, and add the server and the client to the group. Both server and client should be available in Systems list now.
.Now, you can power down the server, or use SDIII to remotely turn off the server.
.In the client system, select the server, then press WOL button. The server should be woken up by the client.
