I have installed Red Hat 7.3 with SMP mode in SYS6013P-8 but when I type "shutdown -h now" system can't automatically switch off the power. Why?

Answer
With Red Hat 7.3, 8.0, only enable the APM daemon in UP mode. For SMP kernel you have to add APM support manually or add apm=power_off into your boot menu.
