What is a head/JBOD unit?

A head unit is the system which includes the Back Plane and a Motherboard where the RAID card is plugged into a PCI bus. A JBOD unit is similar except there is no Motherboard and RAID card but it has a power card (i.e. CSE-PTJBOD-CB1)
