We are using the 7045A-3B Super Server and when the Operating System is loaded the hot-spare hard drive LED keeps blinking red. Is this a hard drive failure?

Answer
No this is to identify the drive as a hot-spare. This is the standard indication for current SAS/SATA RAID controllers.
