When updating the bios on a supermicro board,we get the error “unable to allocate memory”.

Answer
Make sure that you IPMI firmware has version 2.0 or up. Then you can type at the command prompt;

REN AFUDOSU.SMC AFUDOSU.EXE [enter]
AFUDOSU.EXE .[number] /P /B /N /K /R /FDT /MER /OPR [enter]
