I have one of your server 5017A-EF and have problem with USB keyboard hang during the Windows 2008 installation. I tried different USB keyboard but still have same issue. Please help.

The server 5017A-EF embedded with X9SBAA-F motherboard which supports with USB 3.0 compliant. Since Windows 2008 OS does not have embedded signature for USB 3.0 compliant that is what cause the USB keyboard hand at installation. you may need to either install USB 2,0 PCI card or install Windows 8 or 2012 OS that has embedded USB 3.0 signature driver support.
