I am building a system for a customer using the C7Z87 motherboard. Our customer wants to know if the video port on motherboard will still work when a dedicated video card is installed in x16 slot

Yes, both onboard and offboard displays can be turned on. To enbale this feature, please set "CPU IGFX" for Primary Display and "Enabled" for CPU IGFX options under "Advanced->Chipset Configuration->System Agent(SA) Configuration->Graphics Configuration" in BIOS setup.
