Question
I have some old 68-pin Ultra-wide hard drives and would like to install in Supermicro SCA mobile rack. Are they compatible?

Answer
No, the combination is not compatible. The mobile rack uses an SCA backplane which requires 80-pin SCA hard drives. Moreover, the mobile rack supports Low Voltage Differential (LVD) SCSI drives not Single Ended (SE) SCSI drives. SE drives are Ultra-wide and slower, LVD drives are Ultra2Wide, Ultra160 and Ultra320 devices.
