Once I plug IPMI BMC card in X5DL8-GG board, I can no longer see the CPU temperatures and fan speeds in the BIOS hardware monitoring.

The BMC card uses the onboard SMBus for protocol transmission, but the Serverworks chipset doesn't support dual SMBus master. That is why you can't see hardware monitoring information in the BIOS menu. Also don't install any hardware monitoring software on the server that you have also installed the IPMI card.
