We are using the X11SSL-F with an Adaptec 8405E controller and have noticed that when COM2 is disabled in the bios the mainboard will not complete the POST and remains at post-code B2.

Do you have a solution for this?

Please contact Adaptec support they have a firmware that can resolve this issue, this fix will be implemented in upcoming firmware versions.

If you are currently not on the latest firmware you can first test with the latest available firmware before contacting Adaptec support.
