I have SYS-F628R3-RTB+ server and I’m using my 10GBE NIC card on one PCI-E slot. The question is I need to add hardware RAID card. What option do I have?

Since you already use 1x PCI-E 3.0 x 16 low-profile slot for 10GBE Card, so only one PCI-E 3.0 x 8 micro LP slot is available on SYS-F628R3-RTB+ but we do not have RAID controller for micro LP slot.

Also the HDD backplanes (BPN-SAS-F424-A6, BPN-SAS-F424-A2) that comes with SYS-F628R3-RTB+ doesn’t support SAS3.

If you want to have the 4 node Fat Twin system support SAS 3 then he can select one of below SKUs.

SYS-F628R3-RC0B+ : Support SAS3 via LSI 3008

SYS-F628R3-RC1B+ : Support SAS3 via LSI 3108
