I just upgrade my memory in my P6SBA motherboard to 256MB, but when it boots up it only shows 128MB. Do I need to update the bios?

First, you need to make sure you have Registered memory. If you use Unbuffered memory then it will only show 128MB. This board supports 256MB Registered and 128MB Unbuffered memory in each slot. Second, if you do have Registered memory and you donâ??t have the latest bios. Download it from our website and load optimal default setting inside the bios and see if it help. Some new memory modules are not being recognized by this old BX chipset.
