Question
We have in use your SC846TQ chassis, X7DBE motherboard, Adaptec 52445 SAS controller using ten SATA Western Digital WD3202ABYS drives. None of the WD harddrives is getting recognized by the controller. When I install SAS Fujitsu MBA3147RC drives all are recognized and work fine. Do I need to change some settings on the backplane to support SATA drives?

Answer
No, there is no need to make any changes to the backplane to have SAS or SATA support. To resolve this issue please disable the "SCC" Spread-spectrum clock option from the hard drives, now they will be recognized.
